Arrival and Parking
The off street concrete parking area is on a slight slope. There is a narrow gateway with two deep steps from the car parking area to the property.
The Pathway
The pathway leading to the property is shingle and stone making it an uneven surface for people who have mobility issues, plus there are two wood railway sleeper steps across the path and a slight raised step onto the patio, which would make it unsuitable for wheelchair users.
The Studio
Although the studio is on one level, there is a slight raised step to enter the door. The bed is a standard double bed, but there is a small gap by the radiator on one side of the bed, and it is a wall bed with doors so that when guests are not staying in the accommodation, it fits in the cupboard on its metal frame.
The general area is open plan and uncluttered; it has a small table and two folding director chairs by the bi-fold doors, an armchair and sofa and a small kitchenette.
There is a wood burner and chimney on the left-hand side of the room, situated away from the wall.
There is a carbon monoxide monitor and a wired-in smoke and heat detector, as well as a fire blanket and a small general-purpose fire extinguisher.
Cleaning Products and Toiletries
I use eco cleaning products which have some scents as well as eco soap, shampoo and shower gel. These are made by Myddfai, a local company that employs adults with learning difficulties to enter the workplace. They contain no parabens.
The cleaning products are from Ocean Saver, Bower Collection and Purdy and Figg. I also have a glass bottle diffuser made by Myddfai. I have no plug-in diffusers, and will always remove the diffuser bottle well in advance of a person with allergies or sensitivity to smells to air fresheners and scented cleaning products. In which case I would use non-scented eco cleaning products.

The En Suite Shower room
This is a small space with a toilet, basin and glass shower enclosure. There is floor tiles. There are no hand rails in the bathroom or in the shower. There is a non slip mat provided, but it would be unsuitable for a wheelchair users as it is not a wet room and the doorway is narrow. There is no raised toilet seat.
It would therefore be unsuitable for guests who use a wheelchair or have severe restricted mobility problems.
For the visually impaired guest it would be advisable to be accompanied with another guest/partner to assist them navigate the steps from the car parking area, the steps, and uneven shingle pathway. The Smart TV is visual impaired accessibility features plus subtitles.
There is a solar light at the steps from the car parking area, and solar lights on spikes in various places along the pathway, plus a solar sensor light on the outside wooden beam on the patio area.
