That’s why we’ve woven sustainable practices into the fabric of your stay, from the solar-powered energy in your studio to the local treats in your welcome pack. Powered by the Sun
Your comfort is powered by nature. Solar panels on the main house generate electricity, and a solar thermal panel helps heat the water, reducing our reliance on non-renewable energy. Inside the studio, you’ll find energy-saving LED spotlights throughout, creating a warm glow with a lighter footprint.
Thoughtful Touches, Local Choices
Welcome Pack: We proudly hold a Pembrokeshire Produce Award. Your first breakfast features fresh milk (with soya/lacto-free alternatives available), bread from a local baker, and ground coffee from a nearby roaster, all supporting local businesses.
Luxury Toiletries: Your Myddfai shampoo and shower gel are not only eco-friendly and refillable (minimizing plastic waste), but they are sourced from a community company in Carmarthenshire that provides valuable work experience for adults with learning difficulties.
Cleaning: We use only eco-labelled cleaning products from ethical companies, so your fresh and clean space is kind to the environment.
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
Recycling: We make it easy for you to recycle cardboard, paper, plastic, tins, glass, and food waste. Please use the bins provided.
Laundry: To save water and energy, fresh linen and towels are provided for your arrival. For stays longer than three nights, linen is changed weekly, unless you prefer a change sooner. We use a local laundry service, which is more efficient than frequent home washing.
A Garden for Wildlife
Our peaceful, seaside garden, inspired by Derek Jarman, is a haven for more than just our guests. We avoid chemical use, water sparingly (only when essential, and always in the cool of the morning or evening), and use a rechargeable battery mower. Every plant and shrub is chosen to encourage bees, butterflies, and birds, creating a living, breathing space you can enjoy from your sun lounger.

- Please turn off lights, the TV, and the heater when you’re out exploring.
- Be mindful of water, every drop counts on our island.
- The best way to explore Pembrokeshire is under your own steam! Walk the coastal path, hire a bicycle, or hop on the local bus to Tenby.
