Eco studio accommodation in Manorbier near Tenby, Pembrokeshire

Sea Breeze Beach House offers peaceful eco studio accommodation in Manorbier near Tenby on the Pembrokeshire Coast. This secluded self-catering retreat for couples is just a short walk from Manorbier Beach, making it an ideal base for exploring Pembrokeshire.

The studio sits within its own private garden. It was designed by the owner and inspired by Derek Jarman’s famous seaside garden at Dungeness, using natural elements such as shingle, shells and wood. As a result, the space has a calm and contemporary coastal feel.

During the summer months, guests can pick raspberries, blueberries and redcurrants from the garden to enjoy with breakfast. Because the garden faces south, it is also the perfect place to relax on the sun loungers or enjoy a peaceful afternoon outdoors.

Inside, the studio has a bright open-plan living space. There is a compact kitchenette with a small fridge, along with a comfortable double bed featuring a pocket-sprung mattress. In addition, the studio includes an en-suite shower room.

What is included:

The Welcome Pack:

To help you settle in, a small welcome pack is provided on arrival.

This includes Fairtrade teas, coffee and a small jar of freshly ground coffee from a local roaster for the cafetière. Guests will also find a loaf of homemade bread, orange juice, small pots of homemade jam and marmalade, butter, and milk for their first breakfast.

If required, guests can email before arrival to request gluten-free bread or milk alternatives.

A small supply of wood and kindling is also provided for the log burner for the first evening. In addition, a small amount of charcoal is supplied for the barbecue. Extra wood and kindling can be purchased from the shop in Manorbier village.

Pets

While we have our own friendly cockerpoos, we do not allow guest pets. This helps ensure the accommodation remains suitable for visitors with allergies to dog or cat fur.

Accommodation Location: Manorbier, Pembrokeshire

Manorbier is a peaceful and picturesque coastal village on the Pembrokeshire Coast, close to the popular seaside town of Tenby. The village offers a relaxed atmosphere and easy access to beaches, coastal walks and local places to eat. From the accommodation, it is just a short three-minute walk to Manorbier Castle and Manorbier House Café, which is open during the day from March to October. Guests can enjoy breakfast at the café and relax in its outdoor seating area if they prefer to dine out. There is also the excellent Bubbleton Farm Shop and Café, located about five minutes’ drive towards Tenby. It opens from 9 am and is well known for its local produce and homemade food.

Meanwhile, the popular Castle Inn pub is only a four-minute walk away and serves meals during the day and evening. Because it is a favourite with both locals and visitors, booking is recommended.

A short walk from the pub is the well-stocked Manorbier Post Office and village shop, where guests can buy groceries, wine and other essentials.

For a wider choice of shops and restaurants, the beautiful harbour town of Tenby is only 15 minutes away by car. The town is famous for its colourful harbour, sandy beaches and wide range of places to eat.

Tenby can also be reached by the regular hourly bus service from Manorbier. In addition, the local train station is just across the main road from the village and about a 15-minute walk from the beach house.

Tenby offers restaurants and cafés to suit all budgets, and I am always happy to recommend favourite local places to eat.

Other things to note

Because the studio is a unique bespoke wooden structure, safety has been carefully considered. A fully wired smoke alarm is connected to the main house. In addition, the studio is equipped with a carbon monoxide monitor, fire blanket and fire extinguisher.

All electrical equipment is PAT tested by a qualified electrician each year. The wood burner is HETAS registered, and the chimney is professionally swept annually.

The electricity supply for the studio is linked to the main house. The property also benefits from fourteen solar panels installed on the main roof. In addition, there is a water meter at the property.
